I don't want to miss a thing.
Often we see ourselves in the way that we want to be seen. We present the best side of ourselves to the people who don’t know us because apparently first impressions matter and reputation is important. To the people who care and love us the most, we expect them to accept a sub-standard version of us because we expect them to understand that, even if we don’t show it, we care. I thought I was a good communicator but I actually find it more difficult to say things that I mean than things that I don’t mean to the ones that matter the most. I like to joke with you rather than be serious and prefer the role of the princess rather than the girlfriend. I am sorry. Although I don’t always show it but I care. Thank you for being here with me. When I struggled, you struggled with me. I hope that we will continue to struggle…together…always… I love you.
